About the Artist

Thank you so much for visiting my site! My name is Melissa Grazette and I am a Caribbean-American artist who created Art by Tsukinoko as a passion project. The inspirations behind my abstract work are heavily influenced and inspired by my Trinidadian background, love and life through the lens of a black woman, and social issues that surround us today. 

I consider myself a jack of all trades so I created this site as a means to showcase and share all aspects of art that I enjoy creating. Besides painting, I also design and sew clothing, create handmade decorative products, and write poetry. I am also an educator in DC full time as well as a doctoral student in educational counseling.
